plasma-desktop software package provides KDE Plasma workspace for desktop and laptop computers, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install plasma-desktop
plasma-desktop is installed in your system.
Make ensure the plasma-desktop package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep plasma-desktop *
You will get with plasma-desktop package name, version, architecture and description in a table
